The "go-to" book post got me thinking about re-reads? I know some people do not like to re-read books. Do you re-read books? Or is once enough because there are so many other books out there to discover and read?

I re-read pretty much everything that I've bought at least once. On a yearly basis I re-read The Outland series of books by Diana Gabaldon, Harry Potter series, and many Stephen King books including The Dark Tower series. I love to re-read them. It's kinda like... "comfy". I don't know how to describe it. I read a TON of different stuff though.

I obviously re-read. I can't afford new books all the time and our library is pretty pathetic. I know what you mean about "comfy" though- it's almost like you can read it without thinking- if that makes sense. Sometimes if I can't concentrate I'll re-read something.

Or more often- I'll get a scene from a book in my head, or a phrase, wording SOMETHING and it drives me nuts until I can place what book it is and go re-read it.

Yes. I'm a re-reader. I get new books (either from friends or from the library) but I re-read a lot of stuff.

Thank you to the wonderful ladies who mad the blinkies!

"The Lord compensates the faithful for every loss. That which is taken away from those who love the Lord will be added unto them in His own way. While it may not come at the time we desire, the faithful will know that every tear today will eventually be returned a hundredfold with tears of rejoicing and gratitude..... These experiences, while often difficult to bear at the time, are percisely the kinds of experiences that stretch our understanding, build our character and increase our compassion for others."

Ka-dinh - I like how you put it, "comfy."

I used to re-read books way more often when I used to buy books. Since I've rediscovered the library (and had no more room for new books!), I find that I do not re-read as often. I think the last books I re-read were the Harry Potter books.

All the time. Almost every book I own - and right now there's 3 huge boxes of them packed away lol - I've re-read many times.

Thank you tasha_mae for the awesome siggy!

Yes, I re-read often. I'm currently reading through the Left Behind series for the second time (though I didn't get all the way to the end the first time through).
