When did you realize that writing is something you really enjoyed doing? And could actually do well?

Thank you to the wonderful ladies who mad the blinkies!

"The Lord compensates the faithful for every loss. That which is taken away from those who love the Lord will be added unto them in His own way. While it may not come at the time we desire, the faithful will know that every tear today will eventually be returned a hundredfold with tears of rejoicing and gratitude..... These experiences, while often difficult to bear at the time, are percisely the kinds of experiences that stretch our understanding, build our character and increase our compassion for others."

I can't remember ever not writing. I wrote my first novel when I was in sixth grade. I realized I could make a living at it in college and got a degree in Technical Journalism. I worked as a newspaper reporter until my son was born, and now freelance technical writing lets me stay home with him and pays the bills.

Ummmm...yeah I can't remember not writing either. But I never let anyone ever read anything I've written. I wrote a "novel" (it sounds funny to say I don't know why lol) when I was 15. I still have it somewhere. It wasn't until recently when I published my fanfic online and got the feedback that I have that I realized it could be something I could do for a living if I tried.

Thank you tasha_mae for the awesome siggy!

Ive always wrote.. and love doing it almost as much as reading. i suppose i didnt realize i was good at it til high school, when one of my friends needed help on a fan fic (it was nsync lmao and i loathed boybands) and i wrote a few scenes for her and she kept bringing the story back to me when she was stuck cuz she loved my writing style.

Thank you *Kiliki* for my gorgeous siggie!

I started my first "novel" when I was 8yrs old. It's called The Secret of Willow Brooke. It was written in a pink spiral notebook, written in pencil. When I found a bunch of my old stuff about 6yrs ago I started typing it all out so it wouldn't be lost as the pencil faded. THEN during some major PPD after DD was born I through everything away in a fit of temper

So now all I have is more recent stuff that's on my laptop and backed up on a flash drive.
