What do you think of books just end and leave you really wanting to know how things turn out?

Do they frustrate you?

Do you prefer books that have all loose ends tied up or do you like open endings?

What have you read that just stopped?

While I don't necessarily want all loose ends tied, open endings do leave me wondering. I'm not frustrated, but I am left wondering what happened.

Last year, I finally got around to reading The Passage by Justin Cronin. I wanted to see what the hype was all about. Great book, kept me captivated, had my overactive imagination going crazy! However the book just ended! I jumped online only to find out that it was going to be a trilogy. Didn't know that going in.....
