Have you ever been in a book club or reading group?

How did that go?

I've always wanted to be in a book club, but I've never joined one. I guess I'm worried that people would end up arguing over what books to read. People have such different tastes. I think it would be nice to be in a theme book group where you read books from a certain genre that everyone likes.

lol no, I don't like HAVING to do something. When I had to read in school, I hated it. When i don't have to read, or I can read instead of doing something else (like sleep), I'm all over it like peanut butter on bread.

Not formally no. But two of my girlfriends and I, we used to take turns buying books and then swap so all 3 of us could read them and then of course we'd talk about them. Two of us have Kindles and the other has a Kobo, so we don't do that anymore

I actually would really like to be part of a book club but the only local one through the library meets during my kids bedtime so that doesn't work for me. I miss the interaction and discussion. Makes me want to go back to school for another degree just so I can take lit classes again LOL

We did a book club here on this board when I first joined. The host asked for book recommendations then we voted on which we wanted. The Host by Stephanie Meyer won and I read it not thinking Id like it but MAN Im so glad I did. that was a great book.

Thank you *Kiliki* for my gorgeous siggie!
