Hi Lynn,

Well, I usually tailor my query letters based on whatever I may be sending out. I think it's essential to do this in order for your work to appear "fresh" to publishers. I know you can get some excellent advice online though. The website I swear by is Writer's Market. There are many good articles there about writing and submitting your work to publishers!

Best of luck, and take care,

That's a great site. I'll subscribe as a reward to me when I manage to finish that darn book

I got a lot of help for writing query letters from a book I got at the library, by Lois Duncan (she's really terrific - her story of "housewife turned successful writer" is inspirational). I can't remember the exact title, but it's along the lines of "Selling your personal experiences". Anyway, her advice is wonderful. I recommend this book if you can get your hands on it (so sorry I don't remember the exact title, but I'll bet you can find it!)
