Take a deep breath.

You're just experiencing a bit of anxiety about all this. No one expects you to pick a new career to study on the first day. Most people here have switched their focus a couple of times. Try taking some introductory classes to see if you like those subjects. If you can't stand the coursework, then you probably shouldn't focus on that subject.

Never doubt someone's passion. I'm a women engineer and proud of it!

Very good advice!!!!!! I totally agree, calm down. You have alot to deal with right now and need to take everything with a grain of salt, if you are just starting back to college, especially if it's a traditional uni then your first yr is going to be dedicated to your core curriculum. Math, English, History, Science, etc. You don't have to choose a major until the end of your 2nd yr. You have plenty of time to figure out what career most intrests you, take the opportunity to use your extra credits for those classes that intrest you, that way you can get a feel for what intrests you the most. Hope this was helpful!
