How do you loosen the straps? What kind of seat is it? Mine has a little button at the bottom between the legs that you push at the same time as pulling on the straps. Is it like that? If so, (1) I wonder how his arms are long enough to reach it when the straps are pulled tight enough and the clip is up high enough, and (2) if his arms are really that long, can you try putting a piece of duct tape over the hole? That way he can't get to the button from above, but you can get to it from below?

I agree with Chrystal, in wondering if the harness is tight enough and chest clip is at his armpit level. Most kids when properly restrained, will not be able to reach the button to release the harness.

I've seen some moms put the prickly side of velcro on the button to deter their child from touching it too.

You can also sew the hole smaller to make it more difficult for him to get his finger in there. But please double-check to make sure that his chest clip is at armpit level and that his harness is tight enough.

what kind of car seat is it. I recently found out my daughters car seat had been recalled due to harness slippage, and I thought it was just her.
