My friends sister bought 2 Britax at a yard sale, i know that's a big no no but the lady selling them told her they don't expire, i thought all car seats did?

I'm under the impression all seats expire as well. Safety standards change. Also, if those seats have been in an accident, they are NOT safe!

Britax seats expire after 6 yrs (the Frontier is good for 9 yrs - pretty sure that's the only one good for more than 6yrs). I would not use them, however the covers would still be good and she could use them or sell them!

Even if they didn't expire, yard sale car seats are a big NO NO! LOL There is no telling if it was in an accident, how well it was cared for, if they put the harness straps in the washing machine, etc.

But yes, they expire after 6 years.

They definitely expire! And you should let her know how unsafe buying car seats at a yard sale is.
