Here's what we need (im about to cancel our purchase of the frontier because im so darn unsure of everything!)

RFing up to a high pound amount (40-50lbs)
FFing
5-pt harness
up to 80+ pounds
goes backless for booster later (preferably to 100+ pounds but it's ok if not)
comfort
winged head support
good side impact support

optional but wanted:
cup holder
arm rests

Hi there!

Unfortunately the highest RFing weight limit is 35 lbs, so you won't find a car seat that RF's to 40 lbs.

There is no car seat that fits all of your criteria. Sorry! However, I can give you 35 lb RFing limit, 80 lbs. FFing, comfort. The Radian 80. Unfortunately it doesn't have head wings, but it IS rated for side impact protection. It's not much...but it's there. That's the only convertible that goes to 80 lbs. FFing.

thanks! i did figure this all out after posting. i should have edited my OP.

We actually have the R80 for our baby, kairi, 7 months.

I will then have christian in the evenflo triumph 5, i need to check the man. date and then see if it needs replacing, but he is now RF again.

For ricky, i chose to go with the britax frontier for the extra 15 pounds of harness. I feel extremely strong about harnessing as long as possible, so it's worth the extra $. and then i can use it as the backless up to 100 or so pounds.
