My dad (bless him!) is offering to sell us a 1997 Pontiac Transport and I would love to be able to have LATCH in it. It will be our secondary vehicle, but I much prefer using LATCH with our car seats. I googled a bit, but I couldn't find much information. Can this even be done?? Anyone have any information on this? Or should I just contact the manufacturer?

I inquired at the dealership where we bought our van to see if I could have additional LATCH anchors installed in our van (it came with 3 but I have 4 kids in car seats) and they looked into it and told me that it was not something that could be added after-market.
If they were wrong and someone knows different I'd like to know too!

I don't think it's possible. We have a 1995 Ford Explorer, and it doesn't have LATCH either

You can have the top tether latch installed, only used for forward facing seats you can have this one installed

you cannot have these installed

Carseats installed with seatbelts are just as safe as those installed with latch. For some forward facing seats over a certain weight that top tether is required, like the Britax Regent once my dd hits 50lbs we have to use it, we do now but at 50lbs its required.
