I have an '02 Durango and just installed my DS's Blvd today. I am weary of putting it in the middle seat because it isn't flat, it kinda dips down in the back of the seat. I have it installed (RF) behind the passenger seat, but here's the dilema, I had to move the seat all the way forward so there is no possible way that anyone can sit in the front now.

Does anyone have a Durango with a RF Britax in the middle back seat that can verify that it is secure? I plan on going to the fire dept this week to have them check it out and see if they think it is safe or not. TIA!!

i have no advice about the center, but u know the britax seats can be braced against the front seat right? u dont need to have the 1inch between the back of the seat and the carseat. i have a much smaller suv (equinox) and i can have the front seat all the way back where my blvd is RF..ur son is also older so he doesnt need the huge recline hth

check out this link.it says the center has a bad install and most did ok with it outboard RF

So you have your blvd behind the driver's seat? That's the info that that site you gave me said too, behind the driver's seat. I have to say honestly I wasn't aware of anything that the seat had to be 1 inch away from the front seat, right now it's pressing right up against it.
I will take a picture tomorrow and post if you could look at it for me.

Ok, I've moved it to behind the driver's seat as that is what was recommended. I have also tethered it according to the car manual and the carseat manual. I'll be getting it checked next week by a professional. How does it look to you?
I had to tether it to behind the seat as there is no place to tether it in front of the seat.

someitmes when the LO gets older that tethering style can be a PITB

get it checked out tho and see, since its really hard to tell from the pics with different angles and such kwim

Yeah, I haven't had to put him in it yet but was wondering how "fun" that was going to be. I'm sure there is a place on the front seat that I can tether it to. Thanks for your help!
