After alot of searching for a super warm but safe snow suit I found one! I live in Alaska where the weather gets to -60 and I wanted something safe and warm for my daughter to use in her carseat. I found a down snow suit that fits perfect in her car seat without needing to move the straps. With an extra layer of clothes on I was told this would be warm enough for the coldist of cold. This nice snow suit dosn't come at a pretty price though. I found it for $90 but it comes with the peace of mind knowing my girl is warm and safe!!

Here are some pics of her in it.

In some regular clothes with the straps nice and snug

Here she is in the snow suit with the straps in the same position unmoved

The down is really warm but compresses down to practically nothing! Here she is in the snow suit.. you can see how puffy it was before the carseat. Oh and as you can see she can have her hands and feet covered or uncovered. It's perfect!!!

and a cute pic!

I'm glad you've found something that you're confident in, and it will keep her warm!
