I wonder if you ladies could help me please?

DP and I mainley drive in a horse lorrie so the two options for places to put the seat would be either on the front seat with me ( there is the drivers seat then space for 2 people on a long seat next to him). OR There is a very large parcel shelf behind the seats at head level. Currently there are no seat belts in the lorrie.

Our thoughts are, is it possible to (SAFELY!) fit a car seat for a new born in a 4 point harnes/seat belt? Which is our first choice for seat belt in the lorry. http://www.bodykits.com/store/images/T/SBH-6PCBL.jpg <--- like the seat belt.

If not we will get normal 3 point ones.

How old does a child have to be before he can face forward?

Thanks for your help!

I take it you are not in the US??

I have no idea what a horse lorrie is I'm sorry. If there are no seat belts, there is no safe way to ride in it, for any one, not just her.

Do you mean like an actual horse and buggy type thing? In all honesty I would say no resraint would be safer in the event of a crash...

I would say that 2 years old AND 30 lbs is the smallest, *I* would ever be comfortable forward facing a child. If you could provide us with pictures, we may be able to help more...?
