Hi my daughter has been in a Britax Marathon since February and when I bought it I never considered that the microfiber would get her to be so hot and well today it hit over 90 degrees here in Southern Cali and she was misserable the whole time even with the A/C on.

I found a few web pages that sale replacement carseat covers and Im considering getting a different one for the summer months and just switch them back and forth as the weather changes here. What other carseat cover seems cooler for the summer months where it will eventually get to 100+ degrees?

Your help is appreciated TIA.

You need to make sure you're purchasing a Britax Marathon cover made by Britax, not an after-market seat cover or a seat cover made by people on Ebay, Etsy, etc.

Another idea is you to cover the seat with a light colored blanket/towel/sheet when the car seat is not in use to help keep the sun off of it.

Can you please show us a link to the site where you are looking at these covers so we can make sure that it's an actual Britax cover and not an after-market product?

^Ditto that it needs to be a Britax cover. Otherwise you can check out this thread for some tips on keeping your LO cool in the car! http://www.justmommies.com/forums/f7...ol-summer.html

Just wondering why not to use a cover off of ebay? I was looking at these the other day thought they were pretty neat. What's wrong with them?
Thank you Jaidynsmum!

If they weren't made by Britax, then they weren't safety tested with the carseat, meaning that the cover can interfere with the safety of the seat. The safest way to use a carseat is to use only the products that come with it - anything else can compromise the seat.
