SO I went to a few different places and tried Owen in a few different seats. We liked the CA LX but not the base model. However, the straps were cutting into Owen's neck and I wasn't a fan (nor was he) So today I called Safety 1st to see if they would sell me a set from one of their other seats and much to my surprise they told me that all seats manufactured after August 1st 2010 will come stock with strap covers. She did say they wouldn't be available after market because they are put on in the manufacturing process and aren't able to be removed . Guess we'll be waiting to see what they're like then make a decision, but just wanted to give you all a heads up since I know some have used socks as strap covers!

Very interesting that they're not removable. I wonder how that will work out for them?

That's what I'm wondering. sounds like they may come out of the harness holes in the headrest? Strange, but I'm interested to see how they work.

That does sound weird!
