I bought the Safety First CA after my car accident last month...I had an Eddie Bauer Deluxe and hated it b/c the straps kept twisting and it seemed like I was always removing it to untwist them. This car seat is so nice and I love how Hayden has a place to rest his head when he falls asleep in the car

He's adorable

Can you lower the headrest one position and the slot still be above his shoulders? It just looks too high how it is right now.

Yes, it's supposed to be at or above his shoulders for forward facing. Are you sure there isn't one inbetween there? (I don't own the seat, so I'm just asking )

hmmm...I'll go and check this evening when we run out to grab dinner. Can it be at his shoulders if that happens to be where it lands??

It can be at, but as soon as he grows a smidge it would need to be moved up. If you move it down and it's just at, I'd probably move it back up.

If it's just at his shoulders or even just below when you move it down, then the position it is totally makes sense.... he'd be at the lowest end of being able to use that setting, so that's why it would look like the headrest is so high up. he just has lots of growing room!
