JJ Cole Khaki Original Bundle Me - JJ Cole - Babies"R"Us

Are these products safe? The description says that the car seat straps are right against the baby (not over the bag)

No, it's NOT safe because it goes between the baby's back and the car seat, creating padding between the two. In an accident, that fabric is going to compress and leave slack in the baby's harness. This slack will create more forward movement of the baby in an accident before the baby reaches the harness and stops (which can cause severe head/neck injuries), or worst case senario the slack can cause the infant to be ejected from the car seat all together.

Instead, find a shower cap style cover that fits over the top without putting anything between baby and seat. You can also get a fleece jacket and cover baby in blankets.

Make sure your child is not one of them!

Funny this thread shows up today. I was thinking about this today as i was closing out my registry account at BRUS. I actually put the bundle me back thinking that i should make sure.

Where can one find a "shower cap" style cover? Any good brands?

I got mine at BRU. Others have reported finding them at Walmart or Target.

I got one at Target, but I've seen that at walmart. They just have elastic and stretch over the carseat., Only the babies head sticks out. That was fantastic last winter. Lily stayed cozy and warm and I didn't have to fiddle with a jacket. She barely used her polar bear outfit. And it was super easy to get on and off. They also zip in the front so you can get them in and out without removing it!
