Last week I caved and we got him a MR65. At his 4 month apt he was 19lbs 6oz and was getting to heavy for me to carry in his SS1 and that was so hard to buckle him into while still in the car.

Front of the seat flush without anything under it.

This was before he was even in the seat and now he's been in it a week it's in the green all the way.

Pictures of him in the seat

Without his bib

Last Thursday night we took him to my little cousin's football game. He passed out in the car. He's in his Columbia Little-D bunting with a fleece blanket over his legs.

Adorable! I think the recline looks fine. Ours is like that, the ball is in the green but on the very edge (meaning it's as upright as it can go). He looks comfy! You might find out soon that he will fit better without the infant insert. You can use it on the two lowest harness slots, but sometimes the child fits better without it even on those lower two slots.

Thanks everyone!

I tried taking the insert out one trip and he wasn't to happy without it right now. I did take the strap covers off and he didn't seem phased with those. He's usually got his bunting on or his fleece coat now.
