I'm starting to do some preliminary booster seat shopping.

Does anyone know much about this seat?
The First Years Compass B540 Booster Car Seat - Pink Polka Dotty : Target

It says it's narrow, but it lists the width as 20.5" which isn't very narrow... maybe it includes the cup holders?

Basically, I need something narrow and under $100 - This will probably be either a Christmas present or a birthday present next year. I want to start some booster training. We've tried the graco turbo booster and it really doesn't fit well, too wide to sit right with the other carseats. Suggestions?

I've heard that this booster allows the lap belt to ride too high on most kids I've also seen it referred to as having a "wide base."

BUT, I have no personal experience with it. I do like to check out carseatblog.com for their reviews on car seats. So here is their review of the B540.

Thanks! I wish there were more options around here to check stuff out in person, ugh

I completely understand! The only boosters readily available at the stores in my area are the Graco Turbobooster and the Evenflo Big Kid booster. No Britax, Sunshine Kids, Recaro, Cybex, etc. It stinks!
