My little girl had her one year checkup yesterday and she is 19lb and 30inches. She has been riding in a graco snugride 30 and she has tons of room above her head and she's not even on the highest harness slots. Most of her height must be her legs I guess! I know the 1 inch rule and she's nowhere close. But the carseat manual says 30lb and 30 inch limit on the set.
So I guess my question is if she is officially too big for her seat?

I installed her myride today in my van but I would like to still use her infant seat in our second vehcile unless of course it is now unsafe.

No, she isn't too big for it. The height in the manual is just a suggestion because by law, they have to put something. Follow the 1 inch rule.
