I will have 3 kids in car seats in about 5 weeks. Only two can fit in the back seat. Believe me I have tried EVERY combination of car seats to get them to fit in the back seat and even the 17 inch Dionos are too wide. So someone will have to move to the front seat. Should it be my 4 year old harnessed in a Graco Nautilus or the baby in a rear facing Graco snug ride?

Generally my babies have not liked riding rear facing so having the bay in the front might make it easier to soothe her but if she'd be in more danger than I'd rather have her unhappy but safe in the back.

You can only put a rear facing seat in the front if you don't have a passenger side airbag or the airbag can be turned off with a switch (preferably a switch, not a button). Otherwise, the baby could be killed in an accident. It's very dangerous.

What kind of a vehicle are you driving? (Year and model)

What seats do you already own? How old is your soon to be middle DD, and is she FFing or RFing?

Generally, the oldest FFing child should go in the front, but it really should be a once in a while thing, not a regular thing. Have you also posted on car-seat.org? They have way more car seat passionate people and can usually suggest something that will work!
