For those with school-aged kiddos, have you bought school supplies yet?

For Sarah--We give her teacher $30 when we meet her the week before school starts and she/he will buy school supplies in bulk so that all the kids have enough for the year.

For Jared--his teachers hand out lists for each class and we usually have 1-2 weeks to get it all.

Our schools start the 2nd week of August....just around the corner!

I was a preschool teacher before I became a sahm. I remember all of this. I kind of miss it.

We used to give the school 60.00 and they bought all the supplies but this year we are homeschooling so I guess we will do that soon - That reminds me, I need to see if I can get some of my money back for that if it's not too late (we pay in advance)

NO, NO, NO, NO...there cannot be such talk around me yet! (I'm a teacher, we don't go back until Sept. so I haven't even thought about it yet.)

I haven't bought for my kids yet, but would like to get that done soon. I usually do the pre-packaged ones from PTA, but we are changing districts this year so I didn't get to order them. I noticed Target already had supplies out the other day, so that's what made me think of it.

Marla, I was just telling my dh that we needed to get this done soon too. I have the list but haven't looked at it since we registered Leyton months ago. For future grades I will probably buy the pre-packaged supplies that the PTA does as well, but I couldn't do it this year since he's going into Kinder and they ask for 'last year's teacher'. I know around here it will cost $40-$50 for all the supplies.
