We are having Thomas' baptism in a few weeks and I am looking for food ideas. I feel as though I cook the same things everytime we have an event of this type. I am looking for foods that are above a BBQ but not gourmet food. I would also like to be able to prepare it beforehand and heat it up the day of the baptism.

Some things that I have done in the past include chicken marsala, swedish meatballs, swiss noodle casserole.

What do you cook for these type of events?

Thanks!

Maybe kabobs or do a fondue? I loooove fondues and most everybody else does. Otherwise, I am a big southern cook - we always do homemade mac-n-cheese, baked beans, things like that - Take pics for us! How exciting!

we were easy. nothing big. I served finger food sandwiches and my mom made a casserole. it went well.

enjoy your day. I have my girls baptism pic in my avatar.

my cousin went all out for hers. homemade beans and rice with chicken marsala, chicken legs, beef,...

maybe to much.
