My doc suggested clomid during my yearly pap. I had a bunch off bbt charts to show her so she could see how late I Od and how short my LP was. The charts convinced her to check my progesterone. I had been doing a ton of research and had already decided clomid was the way to go instead of progesterone. My doc agreed, so I'm not self medicating, but I did self diagnose and decide what I wanted to do about it.

50 mg has worked for me. The first round of clomid, my chart wasn't ideal, but it was greatly improved over the other months. My doc suggested I bump the dosage up to 100 mg, but I told her I felt better staying at 50 for another round to see what happens. That round my chart was beautiful even though I wasn't prego. My doc agreed once she saw the chart that my staying at 50 is the right course of action for now. As long as I'm Oing within a reasonable amount of time and have a normal LP there is no reason to bump the dosage up. If I bump it up, I run the risk of more potentially harmful SEs.

Thank you peimum for my siggie

I have worked closely with my Dr. to decided what dosage to take. I started at 50mg with no O. Then we decided to bump it up to 100mg. Again, no O. On my third cycle I took 150 mg. I did O on CD 19, but my progesterone was not high enough to confidently say I O'd. I was sure I did though, so my 4th cycle we stayed at 150mg. I didn't O that cycle, so now I am taking Metformin and will be starting Clomid again in a couple of weeks.
