Okay I currently take a prescription pre-natal that is supposed to go up in 2010 to $75/month! I refuse to pay $75/month for a vitamin so I talked to the RE & he said basically to find a generic pre-natal at Wal-Mart & take that but here's my dilemma... I'm trying to decide between a plain pre-natal (Amazon.com: Spring Valley - Prenatal Multivitamin Multimineral, 100 Tablets: Health & Personal Care) & one with DHA (Nature Made Prenatal Multi Vitamin 250 Ct Value Size : Target). I've heard GREAT things about DHA & its benefits (BTW, the pre-natal I'm on now has DHA) but at the same time I want to only take DHA that is of decent quality & doesn't have mercury since we're trying to get pg. Do you take a DHA prenatal? Any thoughts?

I have the Nature Made prenatals without the DHA and then I have additional tablets of fish oil pills with DHA.....I think whatever you buy will be fine; most of the generics mock a name brand, so most prenatals will be of similar quality to each other.

I take 3 things, a standard OTC prenatal, a folic acid/dha pill (naturemade) and a fish oil. The fish oil helps my mood disorder and also helps keep me from getting constipated from the iron in the prenatal.

Thank you Vicki for my awesome siggy!!

I take a generic CVS one. My OB wants me to stay on it. I'm allergic to iodine and most have that in the, but the CVS one doesn't. I also take folic acid. I asked about the DHA and she said to her the studies aren't showing any benefit over a regular one.
