He is super cute!

I hope everything works out with his leg. We have a three-legged cat and he does just great.

Hmmm, now I'm not sure after seeing the pics it looks more like a break. Could he have been stepped on after birth by another animal or person? It looks like the muscles in that leg have started to atrophy and if he's not using it at all right now then whatever is wrong is probably healing that way. If it is a break and it's healed, it will be nearly impossible to fix without extensive surgery and physical therapy. If he were to come to our shelter, we'd have some x-rays done but most likely have the amputation done as well. If you leave the leg as it is, he may start to use it as a crutch and it can break open the skin on the leg and cause infections. Also, if it's just hanging there it is a hazard for him when he is running around and playing with other dogs it could easily get caught up on something.

Keep us posted on what happens, I'll be hoping for a good outcome for this little guy. He's adorable and it looks like he found a great new home!

Yet another wonderful siggy by HeatherW.... thank you so much!!!
