Yesterday I had a diagnostic laparoscopy for one of my tubes... and today I'm SO swollen I look 4 months pregnant. Has anyone ever had this done and experienced this? I've tried to google it but all I can find are those who have had cysts removed and have "swelly belly" for a few weeks afterward... is this the same thing? Is it fluid or the gas still in there that they pumped in? It's making me feel awful!

I think it is normal, a little swelling, but if you are concerned about it, I would call your doctor.
Good luck, hun!

The gas they pump in can make your stomach look swollen. My dr got most of mine out, but I still had a little belly. It's pretty normal after a lap.

Yes, there will be gas left in there and you can be really bloated-looking for a few days. I didn't look too bad, but I felt bloated. When the gas starts to leave your system you can have some pretty bad shoulder pain...that's normal, too. Drinking water or Gatorade and walking around helps get rid of the gas.
