I guess I'll just dive right in. DH is 30, and I'll be 30 in a couple months. We have a 2 year old DD and have been TTC #2 since June 2010. We started NTNP when we got married and immediately got pregnant on our honeymoon, which resulted in a second trimester loss. We spent 18 months trying to conceive, and DD is a Clomid baby. We were very lucky and conceived DD on our first round of Clomid. I had just started fertility testing and was scheduled for more if that cycle had been a bust for us, so I still don't know exactly what my IF issues are. My OBGYN at the time suspected that I had PCOS, but I only have a few of the characteristics, so she was hesitant to make that diagnosis.

I should probably mention that my DH is a family practice doctor himself (non-OB). We've been TTC'ing the good ol' fashioned way for the past 6 months unsuccessfully. We moved to another state this year, so I don't have my OBGYN anymore, so that's partly why we haven't immediately started the Clomid up again. I seem to still have my cycle issues (an unmedicated cycle is still rather long) and I know that now that I'm older, it will only get harder.

Currently, DH and I are on a break for this cycle (well, we're NTNP again) due to the holidays, traveling, that sort of thing. After the new year, I'm off to visit a new doc. I live in a very rural area and the nearest OB who's willing to treat IF is about an hour away. I believe she can do IUIs, but if I eventually need IVF, I'll have to drive to Nashville for my nearest RE, which is about 2.5 hours away for me.

I used to be on the forums a loooong time ago, and I remember what a source of comfort it was to talk about these issues with others going through the same thing. It's especially helpful since most of my friends seem to get pregnant just by looking at their DH! I don't really have anyone IRL to talk to who understands. So thank you SO much for reading all of this - I tend to be long-winded and "complete" in my posts. You deserve a cookie for getting to the end - I'm just sorry it has to be given digitally, since I have plenty of Christmas sweets in my kitchen you can (and should) take off my hands!

Thanks! I'm trying to get revved up and excited about trying again. It's hard to not be negative. If it comes down to it, we won't be able to do IVF for about a year and a half (when we pay off our debt and can - *sigh* - take on more).

What's interesting is that for as backwards as my town is about so many things, there's an acupuncture/eastern medicine practice in town. I'm very tempted to try that for a few cycles. Has anyone gone that route?

Again, thanks for the welcome! Looking forward to getting to know everyone!
