It went pretty good. I am at Day 3 in my cycle so they said I scheduled this appointment perfect timing.

I went in and had a meeting with the RE, she said that she does not think I will need an IUI and definitely not an IVF just because of the fact that I have been pregnant before. She said IUI is not completely off the table but she would want to do the monitoring and Clomid (again) for at least 3 months before we consider that option. I had my blood test and ultrasound today.

I am scheduled for my Hysterosalpingogram and Hysteroscopy on Wednesday and I am !FREAKED! about this. has anyone had one of these before? Are they extremely painful? Is it normal to have both at the same time? and lastly, do you have any idea how much it would cost? The said you are not put to sleep and most women have no pain or discomfort, but she showed me a diagram of what they do and I know I will have discomfort especially since I have them during pap smears so I am a little scared about that. The only plus is that she said the test is quick, so it will only be uncomfortable for a short while.

After those tests I go back on Monday for more blood work and then Wednesday I go back for blood work again (geez a lot of blood) and an ultrasound to check for follies and then monitoring begins. She said they will also be able to tell me when I will ovulate which is a big plus.

All in all I am so happy about this appointment only thing I am dreading is how much it will cost. Good thing I have the tax return coming soon :-/

Thanks for reading the novel. How is everyone else holding up?

I have had both tests done.
Hysterosalpingogram was not too bad, some cramping. They told me to take 600mg of Ibuprofen prior to coming in, to minimize the cramping.
The Hysteroscopy was a tad more unpleasant, but just more cramping and general discomfort. I was not instructed to take the Ibuprofen before that. Both tests are quick, like she said. I don't know how much they cost out of pocket, my insurance did cover the testing ( and not much else LOL).

I wish you the best of luck, I hope that you don't have very much discomfort!

my HSG was a complete walk in the park i mean, everyone todl me how horrible and pain ful it was going to be; it is critical to take motrin an hour before - 800 mg was what i was told; also, to lessen the anxiety, i took a xanax - you should take a half the night before, if you can get a xanax from your doc so that it is somewhat in ur system - it seriously was over in a minute - GOOD LUCK GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had both and they were both uncomfortable but not painful. I'm not sure on the out of pocket expense because in MA infertility treatments are covered by most insurances.
