Today was our Treatment Plan appointment! It went well, I absolutely LOVE our RE and his assistant.

They went over all of our test results with us. Everything with me looks good, hormone levels are good, tubes are clear, I'm ovulating. The only thing that needs addressed is my TSH, which was a little high. This was not a surprise to me though, I have had thyroid issues before. It actually is within normal range, but my RE likes to see TSH at 2.5 or less for optimal fertility, so I will be on Synthroid.

Of course, there is still the issue of the MFI. All of his blood work and stuff came back normal, so they don't know why he has such a low count. This means IVF w/ICSI is our best option.

We actually could have scheduled it in June, but we are going out of town for a week in June, so July it is! I can hardly believe it's so soon! I will start BCP at the beginning of my next cycle to get my body ready for the IVF meds. Weird, I haven't been on any kind of BC in almost 3 years!

So that's the plan! I am both excited and freaked out!

How exciting! I remember when we finally had a date on the calendar, I almost felt like we were just starting to TTC...I had that optimism and excitement all over again.

I haven't mentioned this lately, but before our IVF cycle, I made a bunch of casseroles and meals and put them in the deep freeze. There were many days that I felt lousy....from the meds, from traveling 4 + hours for appointments, from stress, etc. and didn't feel like cooking. Thanks to the freezer meals, we could still eat healthy, home-cooked meals. You might want to start your own stash now!

Can't wait for you to get started!

Ooo, that's a great tip, thank you!

That's exactly how I feel, like we are just starting TTC again! It's been so long since we have really done anything to actively TTC, especially since we got the MFI Dx, so this definitely feels like MAJOR forward motion!

Here's something else you can do before IVF...make yourself an IVF Care Package. Collect your favorite snacks, movies, lotions, etc. so that when you are feeling stressed or down, you can cheer yourself up!

If you don't have a pair of really stretchy pants or maternity pants, invest NOW! I wore sweats or maternity jeans at the end of stims and after the retrieval...I looked 4 months pregnant!

Oh wow, good to know! I will definitely do that! Thankfully I already have some stretchy pants, but sounds like I may need to get more!
