I got my husbands sample there in 15 minutes I was driving so fast. I transported it in the cup and in between my legs (like suggested on the boards) to keep it warm.

I had to wait for about an hour and a half (I assume for the sperm washing.) My appointment was at 1pm they didn't take me until about 2:40ish.

She didn't tell me what my husbands count was or even if it was a good sample and I was so nervous I forgot to ask. I am assuming everything was good though because she would have told me if not. The procedure itself was pretty quick, but it was a bit painful. They had me lay down for about 30 minutes after with my legs up (I fell asleep). She recommended that DH and I DTD again that night.

I got home and had to go to the bathroom and when I wiped there was a small blood clot like a dry blood clot, but no blood. It was just the clot. I went a couple more times before bed and there was nothing both times.

DH and I DTD last night and it was extremely painful. I was very uncomfortable which made him very uncomfortable which made the whole process hard. This morning I am still a little sore. I had O cramps last night, but I am not sure if that was because of the IUI or if I was actually Oing.

For those of you who have had IUI's, what was your experience after wards? Were you in pain? Did you feel O cramps right away? Did you bleed or have clots? What can I expect in the TWW? Is it the same as any other TWW? I just can't imagine that they put a catheter inside my cervix to my uterus and not expect some kind of pain this month. Any feedback would be helpful.

I never was in pain really after wards. The speculum can be uncomfortable, and I may be a little sore and have had slight cramping- which they always warn about. We are also always told to go home a DTD at least once.

You could call and ask them what his numbers were, they should have it.

I answered in the AIP board. Also I always ask about his #s and you can call and get your records. They have a print out after the wash.

I've never had an IUI, and I don't know much about it, but I wanted to wish you good luck! I hope it worked and you'll be getting your bfp soon!

Oh good luck!!! I have not had an IUI, but i did have a catheter inserted during my saline sonogram. I had some light bleeding, and mild cramping for a day or two. I hope you get your BFP in a couple weeks!

I was very crampy after both my IUIs, but it was bc of ovulation, not bc of the IUI itself. Did you take any meds this month like clomid or anything? Meds can contribute to a more painful O too. My pains went away within 24 hours, and the TWWs were really no different except that they were a LOT more stressful.
