and I just wonder if I'll get pregnant this cycle. Do you know what causes us not to get preg even when we are taking Clomid. My periods have always been so crazy, I just had an 8 day long cycle, and it was sooooooooooo weird. Sorry if this is TMI... I started off with harley nothing at all, then I thought it had completely stopped after 3 days, then it was like a rush of (it) I was clotting terrible, and in major pain yesterday, now today it's gone. Does Clomid affect your period? I was thinking that it's probably from me not Oing, and not having a period. The only periods i"ve had in the past year have been started by Provera. Anyone else experiece this. It kinda worries me a little. Thanks so much! Have a great day!

I'm not sure if Clomid affects my cycles, but I have had cycles ranging from heavy with clotting to so light that I wasn't sure it even WAS a cycle. I have had five cycles induced by Provera since ttc, and two natural ones. For me, there seemed to be no pattern to them. This last cycle, induced by Provera, was incredibly heavy.

I wish I could answer your question about why we don't get pregnant when Clomid makes us ovulate. Here are some percentages of how likely you are to ovulate in a given month based on age:

Odds of getting pregnant in a given month, by age:
early 20s: up to 25 percent

late 20s and early 30s: up to 15 percent

late 30s: up to 10 percent

Ovulation is half the battle! Good luck!

**Thanks claire1979 for my awesome siggy!**
