It is almost that time...2012 is almost here? Of course we all hope to get a BFP and/or have a little one in 2012, but what are your other goals/plans for the new year? Any big life changes?

we've got a lot of military related life changes in the works that I am really hopeful about, and it's killing me to not be able to share until things are set in stone.

Beyond that, it's to forget about infertility and enjoy our life as it is. We are a family, we have a life, we don't have to have a child to start living.

My resolutions are to:
#1) eat slower...I am such a fast eater that I eat bigger portions because I don't realize that I'm done!
#2) think before I speak. I find I've been sticking my foot in my mouth a lot lately & then I think to myself "Ugh, why did you say that?"

HAPPY 2012 TO ALL THE JM LADIES! I can't wait to see what this year brings!

Oh probably the typical....lose weight/get into better shape. That's going to be my main focus while I'm going through treatments. Hey, if it takes a long time to get pregnant, at least I will be super fit by that time! I've already been doing pretty well....lost 10 pounds in the last 6 weeks. Now I'm just bumping it up a notch

Other than that...we also have A LOT of changes taking place...there are some big changes going on with my husband's company that may really change a lot of stuff for us. I, also, can't say anything until the deal goes through...but it could be an interesting year.

I guess, other than getting as healthy as possible, I just want to focus on my husband and daughter-on what I DO have and be ok with what I have. I'm trying to get to a place where, if having a second child doesn't happen, I'm ok with that. We'll see

Goals are to:

First, get through March with my sanity intact. My job for the last 10 yrs (which I seriously love) is moving to another state and I'll have to give up my position in mid-March, but at least I know I'll still be working for the same employer on my grant project after that - it's just going to be a major, stressful transition, and a complete loss of job security (the grant will end in Oct 2013, and I'm going to have to figure something out if I want to stay employed beyond that time!).

After March, seriously refocus on school! In addition to my job I am a full-time PhD student (post-candidacy), and over the last few months my research & writing has really taken a back seat to the IVF process and the insanity at work. If I ever want to finish I need to really get going and be more productive again.

Finally, meet my weight loss goal(s)! I am 12 lbs from my original goal (147 lbs, which would put me just inside the "normal"/healthy BMI range for my height), and after that I think I'd like to lose another 7-12 lbs and try to maintain between 135 and 140. Of course, I'll be happy to put those goals on hold for 9 months if I end up with a BFP, but while we're still trying, I'm going to keep losing! (I have the ok from my RE on that)
