and boy am I exhausted LOL. This is my first time using clomid, trigger and then IUI. We have two boys, both conceived through an IUI, but my previous physician just had me take OPKs and then call him when they were + at which time we'd come in the next morning for the IUI. This doctor has me going through the ringer with clomid and triggers and all. Pretty sure I'm having triplets if we get preggers ha ha. Anyhow, my ovaries are very tender/painful. I got the +OPK last night at 8:30 and then called my doctor and he told me to trigger and come in 36 hours later (tomorrow morning) for the IUI. We'll see how it goes, but geez the whole process has me exhausted! Here's to you ladies going through this and much, much more! =) GL to all on getting your BFPs =-)

wait, why do you have to wait 20 days? that's really long! is it because of the trigger shot?

Trigger shots generally leave the body at about 1,000 iu a day. So if you triggered with 10,000 IU, you would usually have no trigger left after 10 days. A lot of people test out their trigger to watch how it goes and then when they do get a positive they can know it is real.

Yeah, they said the trigger would still show up to 20 days later. I took the trigger on 3/31 at 8:30pm and they want me to do two more hcG injections, one today and one I think 4 or 7 days? after the IUI. My paperwork is at home. I don't even think I need to take the next two injections....maybe I won't?

ah, they want you to do HCG boosters. I think that's kind of extreme, but my RE only does them on injectibles and IVF cycles, not on oral meds.
