Hello all, just wanted to introduce myself. I'm 28 with pcos, as my husband is 28 also. We have a 2 yr old who we conceived naturally right after coming off of the BCP, Femcon. No medical intervention. Very Healthy pregnancy etc.

Then, ff 12 months later as we had a feeling this was gonig to take awhile. I had not gone back on bc since having our son and had regular periods. So, I wasn't sure how we accidentally didn't get pregnant in the last 12 months. Anyway, although I was having regular periods, I never got positive ovulation tests which was confirmed by months of ultrasounds that I was not ovulating. I tried Clomid at 50, 100 and 150. I was ovulating at 100 and 150 but sitll not getting pregnant after u/s showed I was ovulating. So, after a year of TTC with OBGYN, I was referred to a RE in Cincinnati, OH. Did I also mention my husband has above perfect swimmers? Anyway, I had been on Clomid days 5-9 when I came to the Dr. in Cinci. I decided I didn't want to wait a month and decided to go ahead with the IUI because I had no cervical mucus at this point. Day of IUI, lining was a 7, got pregnant the first try. But, m/c at 7 weeks. Of course they say chromosome issues but I think it was because my progesterone levels are .6 on a nonmedicated cycle of a day 21 test. So, dealt with that horrible etc and it was just super depressing. THat was set 2012. In dec 2012, we tried the same thing. clomid plus iui since it worked the first time nothing. at this point im annoyed because i know im ovulating, and *** is going on. Jan 2013- I do Follistim with 2 femara tablets and boom, got pregnant with twins, so here I am. I truly believe Follistim is a miracle drug and it matured my eggs instead of just getting me to ovulate. I also used the trigger 24 hours pre-iui. Not sure if anyone within 2 hr drive in Cincinnati needs a RE but Dr. Schriber and Dr. Awadalla at Inst. for Reproductive Health are amazing. I am now on Crinone progesterone gel plus 200 oral every day until I'm not sure when.

Crazy enough to try all over again for a second together baby! Hoping for a much less wild ride this time!

TTC with PCOS for 5 very long years. Annovulatory cycles. Multiple doctors. Different meds. One horrible loss. And then one wonderful success, born 2/18/14.

I never knew until that moment how badly it could hurt to lose something you never really had. - Missed Miscarriage at 10 weeks - 3/26/13

Congrats...we love a good success story

A lot of us here have been on either oral, suppository, or injectable progesterone, and it is usually taken until you are 12 weeks pregnant.

(On a personal note, I promise I'm not some sort of weird stalker. We just happen to both be twin Mamas who got pregnant with MA and have had or want a VBAC, so we're on a lot of the same boards )

Yeah - what a wonderful story! Thank you for sharing - we need it!
I am also in Ohio, but a few hours from Cinci. I've looked at the success rates for your clinic and they are one of the best in Ohio. I've considered the drive - believe me!

BTW- KMH is def not a stalker. However, its a good thing you are pregnant already because she would have you peeing on everything including the kitchen sink. Don't mention it to her put she has a serious POAS addiction.

so another thing we have in common! lol i tested out my ovidril so the moment i got a postitive test i didn't have to worry about if it was for real. lol

kayakr-it was well worth the 2.25 hour trip for us. everyone from louisville goes there it seems and those who don't take forever to get pregnant. i wish my fellow gf's would bite the bullet and go there. i do understand though, they are working moms, i am not, but i didn't just find out i can deduct all my medical miles for tax reasons!
