I haven't posted on JM in quite a while. My DH and I have been ttcing for our 2nd child for over 2 yrs now. We finally were able to see a fertility specialist. During a Hysteroscopy it was discovered that I have uterine polyps. Thankfully the polyps are not blocking any ducts/tubal openings. My dr says that after the polyps are removed I should have no problem conceiving and carrying a baby. We may still do IVF w/PGD so we can end Familial Adenomatous Polyposis (FAP) in our family. Cost is the only issue with that route.

Anyway, I have a D&C scheduled for April 5th. I won't have my pre-op visit with my doctor until April 3rd, but I have to try to schedule other doctor appointments after my D&C for my other health issues. I have never had a D&C before, or know anyone who has, and was wondering what to expect during recovery. Has anyone had a D&C just for polyp removal? How long does it take to make a full recovery? I could really use any advice, info, and support about this. I'm a bit nervous about having a D&C. It's odd, I was less nervous about having a total colectomy & j-pouch construction surgery (MAJOR abdominal surgery).

Sorry if this was .

Hi - I am not sure to many members have seen your post. If you get a chance post on the main TTCMA board. You'll get some response there. I am sorry but I don't have any experience with D&C or polyps. Good luck with your procedure on the 5th.

Again - join us on the main board. There is much more action there.
