Well, the level was even lower with Clomid than it was without the Clomid.

Without Clomid = 14.6
With Clomid = 12.9

When I asked the person from the office, a nasty-voiced "Angela," what that meant, she snapped, "I have NO idea how to read these things!!"

Are you kidding me?! You work in a doctor's office and you don't know?!

So I thought I'd come here and ask you ladies who can actually HELP me. MY BBT chart shows I ovulated, but isn't this number low?!

Thanks.

Gwen, I did some research as I am not too familiar with Clomid and the amount of progestrone levels before and after you ovulate. This is one thing that I found:

http://www.medhelp.org/forums/matern...ges/37878.html

Hopefully this will help answer your question. If you skim through it there are some levels posted.
If I come across anything else I will post it.

I came across this too:
"You may want to confirm the actual level. Sometimes interpreting progesterone levels isn't easy. In general, if it's over 10 that means you did ovulate."

I've read that doctor's like to at least 10 for a natural cycle and 15 for a medicated cycle. As for what your levels means, that's a tough one. It's odd that they went down and frustrating.

I'm sort of in the same boat as you. I had my prog blood work done this morning for my 7dpo levels, and I'm waiting to hear the results. Is your dr putting you on prog supplements, or have you heard of that possibility?

Is there perhaps a nurse at your doctor's office that you can call, or maybe call your doctor to inquire. I'll be thinking of you hun. Let us know what happens.

Thank you so much. I ended up leaving a message for my RE to call me back. He wants me to do Clomid with IUI next cycle if this one's a bust. I need to know if we're still going to use the Clomid with the shot or not. Thanks again!!!!!!!!!

I think I will test next week on my own and see what happens! I wonder if my prog. level was low because I O'ed late and maybe it didn't have time to build up yet(?) I wonder why I O so late on the Clomid...I wonder if my egg quality is ok. Well, as DH says, "We just have to keep soldiering on!" If Santa doesn't bring us a BFP, we have IUI to look forward to next cycle and maybe that will do the trick. We're hoping for twins or even triplets, that would be so awesome!

ok so did you go ON day 21? i know a few times when i was getting used to it all, i went on day 21..well because they call it "day 21 bloodwork" BUT i was only like 4dpo at the time. the main purpose of the day 21 is to be 7dpo..like they go by "normal" cycles where a woman may O on cd 14. i say there is a big chance that maybe you werent 7dpo at the time of the bloodwork. ya never know!

Daniellea has a good point. The test should really be called the 7dpo test not the cd21 test. I bet you just got tested a bit early. Don't count yourself out just yet! I'm cheering for you.

*I love how your trying to find something to look forward to. What a great attutide to have!!!

Thanks, I never knew that! I think I'll call the RE and see if he thinks I should do another prog. test tomorrow just to see what my levels are. I think that the cycle i tested 14.6 on was a few days after O not one. Good thinking, I feel better now that the Clomid doesn't seem to be hurting me after all. I just have to stay positive and see each step as a step forward and not backward. Ultimately, we will have our babies!!

Gwen: Exactly, we'll have our babies...it's just taking us a little bit longer to realize that dream, but it'll happen. (((hugs)))

Doctors say to come in cd 21 assuming you ovulate day 14, because then you would be 7 DPO around testing time. Really you should just go in at about 7 or 8 dpo for the test. Doing it too soon after you ovulate will not give you accurate results. If you go in day 21, but just ovulated on day 20, your progesterone will seem low because it is being tested on the wrong day. Considering when it was tested I think the results are great.
