This morning I noticed that I had a thick, stretchy glob of whiteish (sp) yellowish CM in my underwear. I hope it is not an infection. Would anyone have any suggestions as to what is causing this? I don't get something like this normally.

I usually get something like this like the day or so after BD'ing. In my case, I'm thinking it's "leftovers", if you know what I mean!!

Sometimes it also just shows up on its own. I wouldn't immediately think it was anything to be worried about, unless you're having itchiness or something?

Strange...it could be CM related to the tiny bit of estrogen that the corpus lutiem secretes during the 2WW. It could also be an early pg symptom. Are you sore, or in pain/itch?

No, I have no itching or pain indicating an infection. I have only had a yeast infection once in my life so I don't think it is that.

With my luck it is just something weird that happened esp. with all of the IVF hormones and procedures I went through recently! UGGHH! LOL

With no indication of infection (like itching/pain) then I don't think you have that to worry about.

It's more than likely some result of all the medical intervention you've been under. I have had similar in the past myself. I can't say for sure if during the 2ww because I have always taken progesterone suppositories which make things down there messy anyway (ewww!)

Sorry not much help, but I just wanted to reassure you that it's more than likely nothing at all to worry about.

I did some research and found that it is normal and can be caused by an increase in estrogen. I am taking some estrogen pills right now so that makes sense.

Thanks everyone!
