So everything seemed well, I tested again on Sunday and got a BFN. Then, on Christmas Day, AF showed up with a vengeance. Holy cow, I've never had cramps like that!!! For two days I was pretty much floored (and of course I had to be on the road for 3 hours both days for seeing family!!).

Anyway, I called my dr. on the 26th and told them what was going on. They called me back today and said he's bumping me up to 100mg Clomid (even though the 50 seemed to work fine, I'm 99% sure I ovulated). So I have to start taking that today (if they ever call it in) and then I have to go for an ultrasound on the 5th.

Questions:

1. I'm assuming I'm more likely to get s/e with the 100mg? I didn't have any with the 50 so I'm kind of leery of the 100.

2. What is the purpose of the ulrasound? It will be day 12, so I'm not really sure what they're looking for??

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!

Kelly

Chances are that the u/s will be checking for follicles and size and to make sure you aren't being over stimulated on the 100mg.
You may have more s/e than you did on the 50mg.

Good Luck!

I am sorry to hear the 'ole witch came and did so on Christmas! I hope that the higher dose of Clomid does the trick for you. Good luck!
