I'm probably the only person on this board not to have known this already... My doctor just told me, after my 3rd round of Clomid + Novarel hCG injection, that if I take a HPT it will give me a false positive from the hCG injection. So that explains my false positive a couple of months ago! I guess I should have known, but it never occurred to me before.

I have had the HcG trigger and I never got the false positives they say you will, but I guess it can stay in each person system for different amounts of time. One way to tell if it is out of your system is to test each day and see what happens. Once you have a negative you know it is gone. Then if you test a few days later you know the results is true and not a result of the trigger shot.

Good luck this cycle. I hope the IUI brings your BFP.
