hi everyone!!
i have a quick question,
we have opted to do a double IUI this cycle instead of one SO
I am wondering with timing do you know when they will do the insemination?????
once i get my positive opk will it be the next 2 days in a row or will they do it and then skip a day and do it again??
if anyone knows the answer it would be greatly appreciated. I am waiting to hear back from the doc but i am impatient
so i am wondering if you know..
thanks ladies!!!

We had a double IUI on our cycle & did it 12 hrs after the trigger shot & then again at 36 hrs after. The problem w/ IUI's is that sperm can only live up to about 12 hrs max b/c the seminal fluid is washed away so they are really "on their own". There is nothing to protect them. I would say to get them around 12-48 hrs after your + OPK.

I did a trigger shot for ovulation, and my RE said both inseminations had to be within 36 hrs of the trigger. So I had one around 12 hrs and the other at about 35 hrs after insemination. Ovulation happens around 36 hrs after the trigger I think. So with a positive OPK, you ovulate 24-48 hrs after that, right? It seems like the best timing is just before ovulation and as close to ovulation as possible.
