I was just wondering how much it was? Also how much is IUI? Just trying to prepare myself in case we have to go there. I live in the United States btw. I hope you don't mind sharing how much yours was. I know it can be pricey. Thanks girls!

Do you have any insurance coverage at all? If not, I'd say that would be anywhere from $11,000-18,000 (inlcuding drugs) depending on the details of your cycle and your clinic. Many clinics post prices on your website as a reference. I hope this helps a bit!

My health insurance is Kaiser Permanente. They do not cover any IVF treatment. For IUI without cyle monitoring it is $150. With monitoring and trigger it is $400. HTH

our insurance doesn't cover ANY of it, just up to the diagnosis of infertility. Looking into it online, we found some different rates. We're looking at $8000 - $10,000 out of pocket for 1 attempt with no guarantees. Or, you can go for 3 attempts for $25,000 out of pocket and you can purchase insurance with that, although I can't remember if that's part of the $25000 or if it's over and above that. But, they guarantee that if you don't get a live birth out of it the 3 attempts, you get some or all (depending on the clinic) of your $$ back so you have something to start with for adoption.
Hope that helps!

I am CDN so different costs. I have paid for 2 cycles and get the 3rd free if this one doesn't work out. That was $9k and then we had to pay $1250 for icsi on top of that. Meds are pricey. I am already at well over $4500 and I am going to have to buy more I think.

Prices really vary!

My insurance only covered diagnostic testing. We had to pay out of pocket for IVF. With meds, ultrasounds, procedures, etc. it all came to about 10,000 dollars for the first time around. We are now storing embryos and pay a fee every three or so months. Frozen embryo transfers are cheaper and occur after you have failed the fresh cycle. I think a FET (frozen embryo transfer) at my clinic is around a couple thousand dollars.

At my first RE's office, one cycle of IVF without meds was $12,000. Meds were another estimated 2,000 - $4000 on top of that. That included one frozen embryo transfer and storage of embryos for one year.
IUI with them was $3500 for injectables with timed intercourse or $4000 for the actual IUI.

At my new RE's office, they offer 3 rounds of IVF for $17000 with up to 100% refund if you do not have a live birth.

It can be VERY expensive!!
