Hi Ladies,

Quick little blurb on us. DH and I had been TTC for a year when we finally got a pos. I unfortunately had a mc at about , 6.5 weeks. My Dr., who is awesome, has refered us to a RE. Now my question is for you ladies whop have been to a RE. What should I expect at my first visit, Monday, and are there any good questions to ask. DH has already had a SA done so we know what the isuues are there, but what will they have instore for me?

Any help would be great. Thanks

Have you done any preliminary bloodwork yet with your obgyn? If not, depending on what cycle day your on... you'll probably get bloodwork drawn. On my first RE appointment I also had an internal ultrasound and we pretty much just talked out the game plan. I scheduled an HSG at that point and after the HSG was done (a week or so later) we started rolling with the game plan. They move pretty quickly. If you haven't had bloodwork done at all, you'll probably have to come in on cd3 for various bloodwork, as well as 7dpo for a progesterone check. Good luck!

Hi sweetie & to our board! As for insurance, all my b/w & preliminary tests were definitely covered. They have a way of coding it so that they will. It is investigational to see if you have any issues such as insulin resistance or PCOS or something else. I would definitely ask about how he starts his treatments (ie...Clomid & how many mths, injectables, IUIs, IVF). That is definitely very important. How long is he willing to try the same treatment before bumping you up? Best of luck & come back to give us an update!
