do you have sock problems in your house?

I have a huge basket of unmatched socks

I know if i toss them the mates will be found

I spend more time with the socks than with all the rest of the laundry

If I was rich we'd be tossing the unmatched

is this an issue for you?

YUP! One laundry basket just for socks, un-matched. I tried getting the kids to dump it out and match them up..... it was more of a hassle than anything. Maybe I will try it again and see how I can make a game out of it, like whomever gets the most matches wins, lol. I don't know!

OMG YES!!! I FINALLY started throwing them away when I had a bigger basket of unmatched socks than matched socks. Of course I tried to sort one last time before they wnet intot he garbage. Now every six months I toss those whose mate seems lost and I now buy the SAME kinds of socks so I have more that match. No colored socks in this house!

About twice a year I just throw them out. I figure if they haven't been found in my mid-winter clean up or my end of spring clean up, they are gone for good

OH YES!!!! I have a unmatched sock box too! and every once in a while I make sure I have matches to everything.. and it gradually seems to accumulate all over again.. I hate socks!! I've been debating as well to toss all unmatches and start over. sigh...

umm yes definately have that problem here too. We did use a sock basket but the socks were over flowing so I bought a 3 drawer storage container and now there is 1 drawer for 2 people that was going pretty well until my lil sis told the girls that they could wear mismatches and now instead of looking for a match they just throw on any one grrr so now its even harder to find mates.
