Do you know what your kids are going to be for Halloween yet?

I don't have a clue, my oldest likes to be something scary, the next one likes to be pretty, my DS doesn't care and my youngest thinks she is a princess already so I am sure that is what she will want to be.

Matt is going as a Train Engineer - Thomas's driver to be specific. We already had a pair of the blue striped oshkosh overalls and matching hat, and then I found the Thomas smock at the consignment shop yesterday.

Carrie is going to be a witch if I can find the costume (it was Beth's) or else Pooh Bear. (which was Matt's baby costume)

Beth can't make up her mind...she has asked to be a dog, a cat, a butterfly, a cheerleader, a princess, a dinosaur, and a firefighter. I'm thinking about just buying something without her and then giving it to her at the last minute, lol.

Last year I made costumes...they were the Flintstones (seriously cute my youngest was 1.5 and she has red hair...pebbles was just too tempting to pass up LOL)....Then my older two were wilma and fred.

Not sure what we'll do this year. I like making them but not sure how much I'll feel up to it...so we'll see.

They aren't allowed to be scary though...

We aren't to give a baby milk, berries, or peanut butter. We are to introduce new foods one at a time. But it's OK to inject several viruses, bacteria, aluminum, formaldehyde, phenoxyethanol, animal serum, mercury, squalene and more into an 8 week old? I don't think so.
In order to be healthy it is an unfortunate fact that people must be allowed the opportunity to be ill. I trust my body and those of my children to work correctly against the relatively benign diseases they vax for, and do not trust the ingredients in the vaccinations.
Our choice to not vax isn't based in ignorance, poverty, conspiracy theory and rumor. It's research, common sense, fact and evidence based..something the medical community has largely forgot about.

That is so cool! Do you have pictures? I've always wanted to be that cook mom who makes great original costumes. Instead I'm usually that frazzled mom scanning the pick-over aisles of Walmart on like th 29th of October.

Thanks! It was fun to do!

I thought about doing veggie's this year....like having the baby be a pea in a pod...Gretchen being a carrot (carrot top) LOL....And the other two being something along those lines....like maybe an eggplant and a cucumber or something....Not sure though....I probably wont feel up to making costumes with a newborn....It may be simple this year lol????

Since the kids are still so young I usually do them all the same theme. This year my oldest wants to be Supergirl, so my middle dd will be Wonderwoman and the baby will be BatGirl.

Last year we did The Wizard of Oz: Oldest Dorothy, middle The Scarecrow and the baby was the Lion. The year before that my oldest was Ariel and my middle, then the baby was Sebastian.

LOVE the Flintstones, how adorable!!!

My oldest two just want scary masks, the next two are usually some form of ninja, karate, "fighting guy". My oldest dd wants to be a puppy and the younger dd will probably be a princess bee. The baby is getting a skeleton pirate tee shirt and a bandana...an eye patch if he'll wear it. Yeah right.

We reuse too.

This year Janessa wants to be Sharpey from High School Musical, Xandi wants to be a dead prom queen, thayer wants to be spiderman, Alorah is going as Cinderella, I think Nathalia is going as a leopard and I am not sure on the baby, years before we tried to do themes but they are getting to big and want to be want they want, my mil is in charge of all of the costumes she gets her panties in a bunch if someone else makes them, I really don't mind though one less thing for me to stress over.
