Ok, dh and I bded on day 20 of my cycle with no protection. We usually use NFP in combination with a barrier method on unsafe days. I swear I had ovulation cramps and CM on day 14 so I was not at all concerned. Plus I am ok with using NFP because if it fails I am perfectly ok with another. Anyway, AF is now 2 days late so I took a pg test (well actually more than one details to follow). It came up positive, but it took 15 minutes before it showed a faint positive, but it was definitely a line just a light blue one. The directions said that it shouldn't be read after 20 minutes. So I took another one later today thinking maybe it was a dud and I can't stand waiting. Well second one showed up positive, but took a good 10 minutes. So I the crazy woman that I am went and bought another brand - now negative, clearly negative. I am going to test again tomorrow, but I am going to go insane!!! Help me, cause I think I am nuts.

Note: I think I may have jinxed myself with that poll.

any result after 5 or 10 minutes (depending on the result) is not valid
it says so on the box even

You need read the tests right away

after 10 minutes you get what is called the evaporation line. Looks like a positive but it is not.

I agree with Cindermella; any result beyond the 10 minutes is invalid. Some brands have the stupid evaporation line. My advice is to get a test with no evaporation line and test again; read the results within the time limit stated on the packet. How annoying for you
