It turns out I do have PCOS like I thought. I went in for my pap, told him my symptoms and he agreed it was PCOS. Had an ultrasound to confirm and ran labs today. I won't get the labs results till next week, some of them were sent to the Mayo clinic. Not happy I have to wait a week but I'm happy with the experts looking at my labs. 6 vials of blood after no food or drink for 12 hours! I came back home, ate, and passed out for the rest of the day. It's not nice to mess with my blood sugar!

I'm hoping that he'll put me on Femara, the side effects are much better than clomid and it has a better success rate. AND I have a voucher for a free 30 day supply! Also hoping he'll add metformin to the mix since it helps with the PCOS symptoms.

This is our last med free assisted cycle, so no stresses right now. I'm supposedly ovulating like now or very soon, I feel it!

Oh and he recommended that DH get his 'boys' checked out. I mentioned that to DH and he said he's thought about it already. Shocked me because he never thinks like that! One step at a time though!

Yuk, I don't like that either! I have to do my three hour test tomorrow for GD, but in any case, I wish you well, with everything.

I was on Femara...will your insurance cover it since it is for PCOS? I don't know if you will react this way but I had a headache and spotted for about 3-4 days after AF ended. I panicked but was reassured by OB that it was normal.
One-time "I'm NEVER having kids!" woman to mama of 11. Love living the beautiful life I thought I never wanted. ♥

Also missing 11 precious little ones here with us but for a moment.

VERY cautiously expecting after two losses early 2013. Hoping and praying my Valentine's Day due date baby sticks this time.

We have no infertility coverage that I'm aware of (union just got a new contract and few things changed), so we are limited as to how much we can do. I have a voucher for 30 days of Femara free and I'm wanting to use it, and I hope he let's me have it. I'm sure he will, he's really easy to get along with. The Dr's I see aren't stingy, rude, condescending, or tight fisted with meds around here. Not with me anyway.

I can tell you I feel O coming on, either that or I'm having another 14 day cycle. Crampy! The u/s I had the other day didn't help matters either. An internal scan when you are about to O? OWIE!! Let's hope it's O and not AF! I have heard of girls getting BFP right before TTCMA! I wouldn't mind being one of those girls!

what was the protocol for Femara when you took it? Like how many pills and what days? I have read that the side effects are not as bad as clomid and I'm aware that spotting is normal after AF.
