Finally, right?

We are headed to Keesler Air Force Base down in Mississippi for about eight months sometime around October. (I know...so vague!) From there we will move on to our permanent (well permanent for the next four years) location of Suitland, Maryland. That's right outside of Washington D.C. and also near Andrews AFB.

We're so excited! Although we didn't get anything off our first list we asked for, this was our first pick of the second list. Matt has always wanted to go to this Weather School (at Keesler) so he's thrilled. While I'm not a city girl at all, the outskirts of D.C. should be okay...and think of all the good homeschool field trips we can take in the city! We also are excited that there is an Air Force base there, which we will be ablt to shop at and possibly live on. Matt is in the Coast Guard, which is rarely big enough to have it's own bases, so we have to piggy back on other services or just live out on the economy. We can't afford to live out on the economy with four kids...I need that commissary, lol.

Other benifits include the fact that D.C. is only like 4 1/2 - 5 hours from our parents and other relatives...we've really missed them being 15 hours away. Matt even has some aunts and uncles that live VERY close by in Maryland. I can't wait to be near family again. And maybe the biggest benifit of all is that since it is October/November when the school starts we no longer have to worry about transfering right before the baby is due or with a newborn. People usually transfer in the summer, right when I'm due, so that is a huge weight off my shoulders.
