Reading and sleep are my only solace at times.

Right now I am working on Uncle Tom's Cabin. A brutal depiction of life in the old South, at times very tear jerking, but all in all makes me grateful for how far times have come.

I used to read more, now I hardly read one parenting mag a month-the past year has been about Jodi Picoult

I go in spurts, where I will read like 7 books in a row, and then I won't for a while, so that I can sleep and do housework lol.
I really like Jodi Picoult books. One of my favorite books is "a thousand splendid suns" (can't remember the authors name, same guy that wrote the kite runner) it is really good.

I go in spurts too. I really enjoy reading but I don't know that I have an all time favorite book. It's been a long time since I read a book that really spoke to me. I am taking notes of all your favorites though so I can look them up next time I go to the library.

I love to read I just don't seem to have the energy lately to make time for it.

The last book I read was the Well trained mind (I think). The last book for fun was The Gosselins book about Jon and kate plus 8. It wasn't that great.
