I have been reading a lot in the news about people getting married again and again. I think it's Larry King getting married for the 8th time. I also saw that Hugh Hefner is marrying a 24 year old. He's in his 80s!

What is this world coming to?

How many marriages do you think are too many?

seriously, what kind of woman thinks he would be worth marrying for an 8th time, what are his chances of getting it right by then?
Money hungry. sad.

I think 3 maybe 4 at the most is enough. Excluding death of a spouse, I think by the 3rd time you should know what you want in a spouse and what kind of partner you want. If you're not sure then don't get married.
Marie, I couldn't agree with you more..

DHs parents each have been married four times (their marriage to eachother was their second for both of them). For him, fourth time was a charm. Her , still miserable. I don't know what magic number is "too many" but I do agree in these circumstances it seems like it must be money, and sad

Not sure how many is too many... My grandparents on my dad's side married EACHOTHER and divorced 4 times before the last one stuck. Ideally you'd find that one person for you the first time so 2 would be too many... I think too many people jump into marriage too quick.. before they REALLY know the person they're marrying and then when things get hard, instead of working at the marriage and bringing it back to what it used to be, people just give up.

I think people should have a bit more common sense before getting married and really think logically about what they're about to get into.

My biggest questions lately has been: What happened to dating and getting to know each other before getting so serious? ARG!
